We are all fond of wearing cotton cloths in the form of shirts, T-shirts and so on, but hardly do we bother how the cotton was produced. Mostly we are just concerned about the brand name tag of the cloth so that we appear to be wearing the latest accessories. But here is information about how naturally pigmented textiles are being produced in Peru with colorful pictures of the same.Link: Organic Cotton Yarn; Pakucho, Morrope

Do you ever wonder where some of the Dole organic bananas you eat are from? I dunno the others but some (if not most) definitely come from over 1600 small-scale farmers in Peru. The dry climate in Northern Peru makes it a perfect area for growing organic bananas, while the government has a good irrigation system set up in the region. Learn more about these organic bananas here in Dole's official organic food website. Link: Dole Organic [Ed note: how do you tell if a Dole Banana in the grocery store is organic or not? ]

Peru is South America's archaeological capital. That I don't think anyone would detest. Show them the Machu Picchu and you already have a sure winner. But it doesn't stop at great ruins. Peru's natural wonders are already enough to make anyone awed. This is includes the Peruvian Amazon. Go there and discover the still-undiscovered in the depths of the jungle. Wouldn't it be great, though, if all these trips would be done responsibly. Yes, it can be done--with Mayuc Travels. Link: Peru Travel

When we talk about ecotourism, we do not talk only of environment preservation. It also involves the preservation of the cultural integrity of the indigenous groups living in the ecotour's destination. Here in Peru, there are at least 2 indigenous tribes that are protected. These are the Matses and Mayorunas, both of which reside in the Peruvian Amazon. Link: Eco-Tourism in Peru
